EMUI 10 will launch on August 9

Huawei’s EMUI 10, the OS powering their smartphones and tablets, is set to launch on August 9, 2019 at their annual Developers Conference in China. The new OS will launch alongside HongMeng OS.

So far, not much is known about the EMUI 10. It is expected to ship with the upcoming Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, and will most likely be based on Google’s Android Q. Rumors say it will feature a new interface along with several other improvements.

As to which smartphones will get the update, rumors point to past and present flagships (plus a midrange or two). According to this post by Gizmo China, EMUI 10 update will come to several Huawei models, including the Huawei P30 series, the P20 series, the Mate 20 series, the Mate 10 series, and the Huawei P Smart 2019 phones.
