The Huawei P40 is making waves for its awesome hardware, particularly its cameras. Recently, the smartphones have been awarded by TIPA for their “photographic capabilities.”
TIPA, or Technical Image Press Association, is a body of photographers from member publications that cover the full range of the industry, including consumer, professional, business-to-business, and fine art photography and imaging.
The group recently crowned the Huawei P40 series with the best Photo Smartphone of 2020 award. This is a surprise, considering that we’re still in the second quarter of the year.
The award was given more for Huawei’s innovation in smartphone photography. The Huawei P40 series features an industry leading set of shooters highlighted by the Leica branded 50MP Ultra Vision camera packed with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor.
