realme’s next flagship is reportedly going to be called the realme GT.
According to this report, realme executive Xu Qi Chase hinted as much when he posted a Nissan GT-R model car on Chinese social network Weibo. Apparently, this is the smartphone realme Race that’s been circulating the web as of late.
Now, this early on, there are a few snippets of information about the handset that we know of. First, its confirmed that the realme GT will be the brand’s first smartphone powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.
It will have a 120Hz AMOLED display to go with the processing power with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Of course, it will run on realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11.
At the back, there will be three cameras with a 64MP main shooter alongside a 13MP ultra-wide and another 13MP for telephoto.
The handset is likely to have a 5,000 mAh battery with realme’s 125-watt UltraDART fast charging tech that they announced last year. It will also feature a flat display with a slim build.
At this point, the launch date has not yet been revealed. But we’re guessing its coming soon, given the flow of information about the phone that’s coming out.
realme had a strong start for 2021. They launched the midrange realme V15 5G last January, and then the realme X7 and X7 Pro early February. And recently, the two year old company celebrated a new milestone, selling over 3 million Narzo smartphones.
This is looking like another banner year for realme.
