Sylvester Stallone’s ‘The Samaritan’ is now streaming on Prime Video

While waiting for ‘The Rings of Power‘ to drop (its coming in a few days), why not stream The Samaritan on Amazon Prime Video. The movie is stars Sylvester Stallone who plays a the titular character.

The Samaritan is described as a dark, new take on superhero movies. The film stars Sylvester Stallone, Javon Walton, Pilou Asbæk, Dascha Polanco, and Moises Arias. Curiously, it inspired a graphic novel published by Mythos Comics in 2014. Its spec script was the inspiration for it, years before the film was even made.

Here’s the description on Prime Video:

Thirteen year old Sam Cleary (Javon “Wanna” Walton) suspects that his mysteriously reclusive neighbor Mr. Smith (Sylvester Stallone) is actually the legendary vigilante Samaritan, who was reported dead 25 years ago. With crime on the rise and the city on the brink of chaos, Sam makes it his mission to coax his neighbor out of hiding to save the city from ruin.

At the time of this article, The Samaritan is the number one show in the Philippines. It has received mixed reviews. Critics gave it a low score of 36% on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences, on the other hand, seemed to like it with a score of 78%. Meanwhile, IMDB gave it a score of 5.9/10.
