The vivo Y22 launches in Indonesia. The smartphone is a more affordable version of the vivo Y22s that went official in Vietnam.

The vivo Y22 has similar specs, but some are toned down to maintain the price point. In Indonesia, it retails for IDR2,399,000, which is around ~Php 9,200 or ~USD 161.

The smartphone features a 6.55-inch HD+ display with a dated water drop notch. Unfortunately, that’s not the only dated piece of hardware comes with the phone. Under the hood, it has a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, a 2-year old gaming centric processor for mid-range phones. It comes in 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB configuration.

At the back, there’s a dual camera setup of 50MP and 2MP. While in front, an 8MP camera handles selfies.

In the battery department, there’s a 5000mAh capacity with 18W fast charge. It also comes with a USB-C port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12.

There’s no information yet if its coming to the Philippines. Stay tuned for more information.
