realme C55 with Mini Capsule is launching in the Philippines on April 18

Its most interesting feature is the Mini Capsule, inspired by the iPhone's Dynamic Island.

The realme C55 is set to launch in the Philippines on April 18, 2023. You can catch the live stream at 6 p.m. on realme’s official Facebook and TikTok pages.

Local pricing will be announced at the event. But based on international SRP, we’re expecting it to go somewhere in the ₱8,900+ or $160 range.

realme C55 Philippines Launch

As for the phone itself, the realme C55 features a 6.72-inch FHD+ display, the largest on a C-series phone, with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a resolution of 2400×1080. It has a dual camera setup with a 64MP primary lens alongside a 2MP depth sensor. While in front, an 8MP hole-punch selfie camera takes up selfie duties.

The handset is powered by an Helio G88 chipset and comes in 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variations. It has a 5000mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC fast charging.

However, its most interesting feature is the Mini Capsule, a software notification animation inspired by the iPhone’s Dynamic Island. It uses the area around the punch hole to dynamically show status and other information, such as for charging, low battery warning, data usage, as well as the steps and walking distance of the day.

Launch and Pre-order

The realme C55 comes in Sunshower, Rainy Night, and Rainforest colorways. It will launch in the Philippines on April 18, 6 p.m., live-streamed on realme’s official Facebook and TikTok pages.

The phone is also going to be showcased at the Clark Aurora Music Festival this coming April 15 to 16. To view the realme C55 in person, visit their booth for some fun activities and giveaways.

The realme C55 is available for blind pre-order from April 11 to 18 at realme offline stores nationwide. Blind pre-order is when you pre-order without knowing the price.

Blind pre-orders will come with an entry for the freebie giveaway wherein they can win any of the following prizes: realme Pocket Bluetooth Speaker, realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker, realme Smart TV Stick, realme Hair Dryer, and realme M2 Sonic Electric Toothbrush.
