LinkedIn has recently released its 2023 Top Companies List in the Philippines. This third annual edition ranks the 15 best workplaces where professionals can develop and advance their careers.
The list provides valuable insights into the most in-demand skills, job functions, and company attributes that professionals can use to explore new job opportunities.
Using LinkedIn’s platform data to determine the rankings, the Top Companies in the Philippines were ranked based on eight pillars that promote career progression: ability to advance, skills growth, company stability, external opportunity, company affinity, gender diversity, educational background, and employee presence in the country.
This year, information technology (IT) services and consulting firm, Accenture, secured the top spot, followed by two financial services firms, Mynt (GCash) and Maya. Other IT services and consulting firms on the list included Kyndryl, while financial services companies Citi and Prudential also made the top 15. Global manufacturers such as Philip Morris International, Unilever, and Procter & Gamble were also featured, along with Nestle, a food and beverage company.
For the first time, several new companies made it to the list, including Aboitiz Power, The Globe Group, Boehringer Ingelheim, Sagility, and SAP. The inclusion of these companies reflects the growing opportunities for professionals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets across various industries.

LinkedIn’s data also revealed the most in-demand skills that the Top Companies in the Philippines are looking for.
In the IT services sector, companies are searching for professionals with expertise in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Computer Security.
Financial services companies, on the other hand, require professionals with skills in Fintech, Artificial Intelligence, and Economics. The largest job functions in demand include Engineering, Information Technology, Customer Success, and Support.

Meanwhile, hiring managers from the Top Companies in the Philippines shared tips on how job seekers can land a job with a top company. They suggested researching the company and getting to know its culture, values, and benefits.
Candidates should be honest and transparent during the application process, highlighting their strengths and aspirations for growth. Job seekers are also encouraged to apply for roles that align with their skills and career aspirations, even if they do not meet all the required criteria. Candidates should be curious, learn in-demand skills, and not give up if they are not selected for a particular role.
