POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro specs revealed ahead of global launch

The specification and features of the POCO F5 and F5 Pro were leaked ahead of its global launch scheduled on May 9, 2023. Both phones’ product pages temporarily went live on the company UAE website.

While the listing was an accident (the pages have since been taken down), it did reveal all of the POCO F5 and F5 Pro’s specs.

Let’s start with the POCO F5 Pro. The phone appears to be a rebadged Redmi K60 with some key differences. At the front, it has a 6.67-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 480Hz. It also has a 16MP selfie shooter under a small hole punch and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 powers the device and comes in 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB configurations. It also has a 5160mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging and 30W wireless fast charging.

The back has a triple-camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary camera with an Omnivision OV64B sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro lens. The cameras are supported by OIS+EIS, giving them an edge in low-light photography.

The POCO F5, on the other hand, is a rebadged Redmi Note 12 Turbo. The phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

It also has a 64MP primary camera alongside an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro lens. While at the front, a 16MP shooter takes up selfies and video-calling duties.

The phone also sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, but unlike the Pro version, this one has a 1080p resolution. It does retain the 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support.
