TNT’s viral videos on SIM Registration make it to New York Festivals 2023 Advertising Awards

The videos have over 100 million views and 7 million registrations.

Two hilarious online videos and a social good campaign by TNT have been selected as finalists in the prestigious New York Festivals 2023 Advertising Awards.

The videos, titled “Mother” and “Tattoo”, show the funny consequences of not registering one’s SIM card. They are competing in the Film: Best Use Viral in Social Media category.

Meanwhile, the SIM Registration Drive Campaign aims to raise awareness and compliance among TNT subscribers on the importance of registering their SIM cards before the deadline. It is vying for an award in the Film Best Use Social/Environmental Good category.

The New York Festivals recognizes the best and brightest in the global advertising industry. TNT’s videos were chosen from hundreds of entries from 60 countries.

Over 100 million views and 7 million registrations

The videos reflect TNT’s brand promise of delivering ‘saya’ or fun. It has gone viral on social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok, with over 100 million views combined. Viewers praised the videos for being “hilarious,” “creative,” and “unskippable.”

More importantly, the campaign resulted in over 7 million subscribers registering their SIM cards within just 10 days after its launch, proving the effectiveness of the videos.

Smart and TNT lead SIM Registration

As of July 20, Smart and TNT continue to lead SIM Registration in the country with 49.3 million registered subscribers, which make up 74% of their declared subscriber base.

Smart continues to encourage subscribers to register their SIMs before the deadline on July 25, 2023.
