Globe Telecom has assured the public that all currently active SIM cards on its network are duly registered. This comes after the company implemented a strict system that only allows activation once registered through Globe’s SIM registration platforms.

After the SIM registration period, which ran from December 27, 2022, to July 30, 2023, has passed, Globe deactivated over 30 million unregistered SIMs. The telco boasts 58.8 million mobile subscribers.

Moreover, Globe also further bolstered its security protocols. These include advanced encryption for data transmission, live photo capture to prevent fake IDs, and limitations on ID submission attempts to prevent fraudulent registrations.

Globe reminds users to submit accurate information and valid photo IDs during registration, as providing false details is a punishable offense.
