Redmi Pad SE 8.7 budget tablet arrives in the Philippines

Xiaomi bolsters its tablet lineup in the Philippines with the new Redmi Pad SE 8.7. The budget device is priced at Php 7,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant and Php 6,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant. Only the Wi-Fi variant will be available in the country.

The Pad SE 8.7 has an 8.7-inch display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and a 10-bit color depth. Inside, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.

The tablet has a single 8MP camera at the back and a 5MP camera in front for selfies and video calls. In addition to the features mentioned above, the Pad SE 8.7 also features Dolby Atmos-enabled stereo speakers, an FM radio, and connectivity options including Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and an IR blaster.

Xiaomi’s HyperOS, built on top of Android U, powers the device. It also has a 6650mAh battery that supports USB-C 18W fast charging.

Price and Availability

The Redmi Pad SE 8.7 comes in three colors: Graphite Gray, Aurora Green, and Sky Blue. It is now available on Shopee with an Early Bird Promo until September 4.

During the promo period, the 4GB+128GB variant will go down to Php 6,399 (from Php 7,999), while the 4GB+64GB will go to Php 5,399 (from P6,999).
