The newly-appointed operator of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), the San Miguel-led New NAIA Infra Corporation (NNIC), has implemented a significant increase in parking rates effective October 1, 2024.

In particular, the overnight parking fee for cars has seen a staggering 300% surge, jumping from Php 300 to Php 1,200. This steep hike is one of the most noticeable adjustments in the overall parking rate revision.

According to NNIC General Manager Angelito Alvarez, the increased fees are necessary to ensure the continued maintenance and improvement of airport facilities. Notices detailing the new rates have been posted throughout the airport’s parking areas.

Before NNIC assumed control of NAIA’s operations, the airport was managed by the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA). While MIAA has relinquished its operational responsibilities, it continues to serve as the regulatory body overseeing NAIA.

Aside from the new parking fee adjustment, the new operator is also planning to increase terminal fees for both domestic and international passengers. The adjustments are expected to take effect in September 2025.
