Netflix is expanding its anime library further with the addition of “Dragon Ball DAIMA.” This new series follows Goku and the Z-fighters who have been transformed into mini-versions of themselves.
The new Dragon Ball series will join a stellar anime lineup on Netflix that already includes the likes of Frieren, Dandadan, Ranma 1/2, The Boy and the Heron, and more, along with the upcoming Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft.
Dragon Ball DAIMA is created by Toei Animation with inputs from the late Akira Toriyama. The story follows the heroes who have mysteriously shrunk in a strange new world while trying to reverse their transformation. Goku and his friends are joined by the Supreme Kai, along with two new allies, Glorio and Panzy.
More importantly, the anime series is canon to the events of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super, taking place shortly after Goku defeated Majin Buu.
Familiar voices also return to the franchise, including Masako Nozawa as Goku and Yumiko Kobayashi as Shin, the Supreme Kai.
Dragon Ball DAIMA will be available on Netflix starting October 14 in Asia (October 15 in the Philippines), and globally on October 18. Take note that the release date may vary depending on the country.
