Samsung has launched the Galaxy A16 5G in the Philippines. Together with the 4G variant, the handsets offer 6 generations of OS updates and up to 6 years of security updates (or up to September 30, 2030).
The Galaxy A16 5G and 4G have the same specifications, save for the processor. The 5G model is powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core processor (reported to be an Exynos 1330), while the 4G model has a Helio G99. Both come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The phones feature a large 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 13MP hole-punch selfie camera. At the back, it has a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro lens.
Both Galaxy A16 models also feature a 5000mAh battery, an IP54 dust- and water-resistant build, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and One UI on top of Android 14.
The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G and 4G are now available in the Philippines at select retailers from November 13 (5G) and December 4 (4G). The 5G model is priced at Php 13,990, while the 4G model goes for Php 9,990.
