Tim Cook teases new Apple product launch: Could it be the iPhone SE 4?

Apple is gearing up to launch a new product in just a few days. Tim Cook teased on X that the “newest member of the family” is set to arrive on February 19, 2025. While it’s not explicitly mentioned, all signs point to this being the much-anticipated iPhone SE 4, rumored to debut this month.

The details about the new device are still under wraps, but here’s what we know so far: The iPhone SE 4 is expected to have a design similar to the iPhone 14, featuring a sleek form factor and a single rear camera lens. This upcoming budget iPhone will also include a notch, which means that the Dynamic Island feature will not be part of this model. However, it might incorporate an Action Button, which could replace the traditional Alert Slider.

Rumors also suggest that the iPhone SE 4 will have a compact 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display and be powered by Apple’s A18 chipset. This would bring the latest Apple technology to their most affordable device.

In line with the EU’s mandate for a common charging standard, the SE 4 is likely to feature a USB-C port. Another exciting development is the possible addition of an in-house cellular modem, signaling Apple’s move away from Qualcomm’s technology in future devices.

The iPhone SE series has always been attractive due to its lower price point compared to flagship models. In the Philippines, the current iPhone SE starts at PHP 29,990 for the 64GB storage option.

Although Apple is expected to adjust the price for the new model, it’s anticipated that the SE 4 will continue the tradition of offering a more budget-friendly entry into the iPhone ecosystem.
