MMDA now sends real-time NCAP violation alerts via text and email

Learn how the system works, how to verify messages, and what motorists need to do to stay updated.

It’s finally here! The MMDA can now send real-time notifications to motorists caught violating traffic rules under the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP).

Starting this week, drivers in Metro Manila will receive alerts via SMS and email as soon as a violation is recorded. The system uses contact details from the LTO’s Land Transportation Management System (LTMS), and SMS alerts work even without internet access.

Here’s what motorists need to know:

  • SMS alerts will come from MMDA_NCAP ( it will have no mobile number)
  • Emails will be sent from no-reply@mmda.gov.ph
  • No payment links will be included in official messages

This development, of course, includes a warning: watch out for scams and verify any suspicious messages. Also, motorists are advised to update their LTMS contact info and ensure their vehicle ownership records are current.

The “May Huli Ka 2.0” website remains available for checking NCAP violations, but a “No Record Found” result doesn’t always guarantee a clean record.
