Samsung officially launched the Galaxy Z Flip7 in a global event in New York, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE and the Galaxy Z Fold7. The new foldable phone features a slimmer design, a larger external screen, and upgraded AI tools.
Good news to Filipinos. Pre–orders are now open in the Philippines for both the Galaxy Z Flip7 and the more affordable Galaxy Z Flip7 FE. The phones will be available starting August 1.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 weighs 188 grams and measures 13.7mm when folded. It features a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow, the largest yet on a Flip model. This outer screen lets users reply to messages, check schedules, and take selfies without opening the phone. It supports up to 2,600 nits of brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. Inside is a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, also with 120Hz refresh.
Samsung improved durability with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and a redesigned Armor FlexHinge. The phone runs on the new 3nm Exynos 2500 chip, offering better performance for apps and AI tasks.
Samsung DeX is now supported, allowing users to connect the phone to a monitor for desktop mode. Battery capacity has also increased to 4,300mAh, again, the largest in the Flip series.
The Flip7 runs One UI 8 based on Android 16. AI features include Gemini Live for voice search and camera-based help, Now Bar for live app activity, and Now Brief for daily updates. Expect up to seven years of software updates.
The dual rear camera includes a 50MP wide lens for better low-light photos and FlexWindow selfies.
Price and Availability in the Philippines
The Galaxy Z Flip7 will be available for pre-order in the Philippines from July 9 to July 31, with general availability starting August 1. Color options include Blue Shadow, Jetblack, Coralred, and an online-exclusive Mint variant.
Pre-orders come with a free storage upgrade. Buyers can also take advantage of flexible payment options, including discounts for credit card and online transactions. Samsung Finance+ offers up to ₱14,000 off with zero processing fees for 24-month plans, while Home Credit provides up to ₱10,000 off on installment purchases.
