Samsung officially launched the Galaxy Z Fold7 in New York, together with the Z Flip7 and Z Flip7 FE. It’s the thinnest and lightest model in the Galaxy Z Fold series so far, featuring a slimmer design, upgraded cameras, and new AI-powered tools. As a bonus for Filipinos, pre-orders in the Philippines start today, with the phone hitting stores on August 1.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is 8.9mm thick when folded and just 4.2mm when open, weighing 215 grams. It has a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover screen and an 8-inch main display, 11% larger than last year’s model. Both screens reach up to 2,600 nits of brightness.
Samsung also improved durability with a new Armor FlexHinge, Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the cover, and a titanium layer under the main display.
Inside, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip. The main camera now features a 200MP wide sensor, the first in the Galaxy Z series. It also features AI tools like Photo Assist and Generative Edit to help users enhance and edit images directly on the device.
The Fold7 runs One UI 8 based on Android 16, with new AI features like Gemini Live and Circle to Search for easier multitasking. Expect seven years of software updates, similar to its predecessor.
For security, it includes Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP) and the upgraded Knox Matrix system.
Also announced are the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Flip7 FE.
Price and Availability in the Philippines
The Galaxy Z Fold7 will be available for pre-order in the Philippines starting July 9 until July 31, with general availability from August 1 onwards. The smartphone will be available in Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, Jetblack, and an online-exclusive Mint color.
Pre-orders will come with a free storage upgrade. Flexible payment options are available with discounts for credit card and online purchases. Samsung Finance+ also offers up to ₱14,000 off at zero processing fee for 24 months and up to ₱10,000 via Home Credit.
