Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic, introducing new health features, a slimmer design, and improved performance. The lineup also includes the Galaxy Watch Ultra. All three models are available for pre-order in the Philippines from July 9 to July 31, with general availability starting August 1.
The Galaxy Watch8 series focuses on advanced health tracking. New features include Bedtime Guidance for better sleep habits, Vascular Load to monitor cardiovascular stress during sleep, and the industry-first Antioxidant Index, which measures carotenoid levels linked to healthy aging.
Fitness tools like Running Coach offer personalized training plans, while the updated Together feature adds a social element to workouts. Other wellness tools include High Stress Alert, a Mindfulness Tracker, and an AI-powered Energy Score.
A major addition is Google’s Gemini AI assistant, making the Galaxy Watch8 series the first smartwatches to launch with this feature.
The watches run on Wear OS 6 with One UI 8 Watch, offering a more intuitive interface with Multi-Info Tiles and a Now Bar for quick access to key information.
The Galaxy Watch8 comes in 44mm and 40mm sizes with a minimalist design. The Galaxy Watch8 Classic features a 46mm case and the return of the rotating bezel.
Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Watch8, Galaxy Watch8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra are available for pre-order in the Philippines from July 9 to July 31, 2025.
