Riot Games confirms 2XKO Closed Beta launch for September 2025

Vi joins the roster. Sign-ups are now open.

Riot Games has officially announced the Closed Beta for 2XKO, its upcoming 2v2 tag-team fighting game set in the League of Legends universe. The beta begins September 9, 2025, on Windows. Versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X will follow later.

The game will support cross-platform progression and inventory, allowing players to switch between PC and console without losing progress or items. Riot plans to keep servers online from the start of the beta through the full launch.

Players who joined earlier 2XKO Alpha Lab tests will automatically get access to the PC Closed Beta. New players can sign up at 2xko.riotgames.com/beta.

Riot also revealed a new playable champion: Vi, a popular character from League of Legends and the Arcane animated series. She will be playable at the 2XKO booth during Evo Las Vegas from August 1-3 and included in the Closed Beta.

2XKO is free-to-play, designed for both fighting game veterans and newcomers. For updates, follow Play2XKO on X, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
