Subscription rates for online streaming services in the Philippines have been steadily rising, and YouTube Premium is the latest to adjust its pricing. Back in 2023, the individual plan cost ₱159 per month, while the family plan was ₱239.
Here are the updated monthly prices:
- Student: ₱115
- Individual: ₱189
- Family: ₱379
Despite the increase, we think YouTube Premium is still a good deal. Subscribers get ad-free access to videos, offline downloads, and background playback, which lets users continue watching or listening while using other apps or when the screen is off.
The subscription also includes access to YouTube Music Premium, though it’s also available separately. Additionally, users can stream videos in 1080p Premium, which provides better resolution on supported devices. The service also bundled with YouTube Music Premium.
With Spotify and other platforms also raising prices, YouTube Premium’s expanded features may appeal to users looking for a more integrated experience.
