Grok Imagine, Elon Musk-owned xAI’s image and video generator, added a new feature called “Spicy” mode, which lets users create NSFW content, including semi-nude images and short clips.
Grok Imagine is only available to paying SuperGrok and Premium+ X subscribers. It uses text prompts to generate images and videos of up to 6 seconds in length, complete with audio.
Spicy mode can create adult-themed results with some form of moderation. TechCrunch reported that their test prompts generated images that were blurred out.
The tool can also generate content featuring celebrities. However, there are limitations. We imagine it’s to keep it out of trouble.
Unsurprisingly, the new mode is attracting a lot of users. Musk claims Grok Imagine jumped from 14 million to 20 million images generated in one day.
Spicy mode raises a lot of questions about how AI handles adult content and celebrity likeness. As Grok Imagine grows, its impact on content creation and platform rules will likely become a bigger issue.
