Google expands AI Mode in Search to help users book, plan, and personalize

Google Search AI Mode adds booking, personalization, and sharing tools.

Google is making its AI-powered Search tool more useful. The company is adding new features that help users complete tasks and get results based on their preferences. It’s also expanding access to over 180 new countries and territories.

One major update is task automation. AI Mode can now help users book restaurant reservations with specific details like party size, cuisine, and time. It searches platforms like OpenTable and Resy, then links directly to booking pages. Support for event tickets and service appointments is coming soon.

For users in the US, they can opt into the AI Mode experiment in Labs to see personalized suggestions. AI Mode can recommend places based on past searches, such as food type or seating style. Users can manage these settings in their Google Account.

Google also added link-sharing. Users can share AI responses with others, who can continue the conversation or ask follow-up questions. Senders can delete shared links anytime.

More languages and regions will be supported in future updates.
