Threads adds 10,000-character text attachments to posts

This allows users to share longer posts and link to full content.

Meta is rolling out a new feature on Threads that lets users attach up to 10,000 characters of text to a post. This update gives people more space to share longer thoughts, stories, or updates directly on the platform.

Previously, Threads posts were limited to 500 characters. Many users got around this by posting screenshots of longer content. Now, they can write and attach a full text without leaving the app.

The feature also supports links in the main post. This means users can point readers to full articles, newsletters, or other content outside Threads. This allows creators to share more complex ideas and promote their work more easily.
