Meta launches Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) smart glasses with better battery and video

Meta has announced the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 smart glasses. The new model offers longer battery life, sharper video recording, and smarter AI features.

The Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) now lasts up to eight hours on a full charge. That’s nearly twice as long as the first version. It also charges faster, boasting 50% in just 20 minutes. The included case adds 48 more hours of power.

Video quality has improved with 3K Ultra HD recording. The glasses now support ultrawide HDR and up to 60 frames per second. Meta plans to add hyperlapse and slow-motion modes later this year.

AI features have also been upgraded. A new “conversation focus” tool helps users hear people better in noisy places. Live translation now supports six languages, including German and Portuguese. Offline translation is possible with downloaded language packs.

The Gen 2 glasses are available in more countries. Customers in Switzerland and the Netherlands can buy them now. Brazil, Mexico, and India will follow soon.

Style options include Wayfarer, Skyler, and Headliner frames. Meta is also offering three new seasonal colors for a limited time.

The Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) starts at $379 (around ₱21,650). There is no information yet on availability in other regions. Stay tuned for more details.
