realme is teaming up with RICOH IMAGING to bring GR camera technology to its upcoming realme GT 8 Pro. The partnership, four years in the making, aims to improve mobile photography by focusing on authenticity and user expression, especially for street photography.
The GT 8 Pro will debut with imaging features co-developed by both brands. These include custom optics, film-like tones, and a user interface inspired by the RICOH GR series.
realme says the collaboration started with a shared concern: mobile photos often look too processed and lack personality. By combining RICOH’s legacy in street photography with realme’s mobile tech, the GT 8 Pro hopes to offer something different: photos that feel real and personal.

The device will include five classic image tones and a UI that mimics the GR camera’s layout. It’s designed for quick, spontaneous shots, not staged perfection.
The official launch is set for October 14 in Beijing. Stay tuned for updates.
