realme GT 8 Pro camera samples show what RICOH GR tech can do

The images show a lot of promise.

After the news of realme and RICOH GR’s partnership, Francis Wong, Head of Product Marketing at realme Global, recently shared early camera samples from the upcoming realme GT 8 Pro. The images offer a first glimpse into the brand’s new partnership with RICOH GR, and they show a lot of promise.

Since these are previews, we should take these samples with a grain of salt. That being said, the photos look clean with natural tones, different from the usual overly processed look common in most smartphones. It’s a clear nod to RICOH’s GR series, known for its street photography roots and minimalist approach.

realme says the GT 8 Pro will feature co-developed optics and image processing tuned with GR’s philosophy.

Rumored specs include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 50MP main camera with a Sony Lytia LYT-700 sensor, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens powered by a Samsung ISOCELL HP5.

The phone could also feature a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with QHD+ resolution and a massive 8,000 mAh battery.

The realme GT 8 Pro is set to launch on October 14 in Beijing.
