Maya has teamed up with Dragonpass to give Maya Black credit card holders access to airport lounges worldwide. The feature is built right into the Maya app, letting users generate a QR code for entry without the need for extra registrations or third-party apps.
This marks the first in-app global lounge access service in the Philippines. It’s a simple setup: open the app, get the code, and show it at participating lounges.
The move comes as Maya continues to push digital-first credit services. Credit card ownership in the country remains low.
Data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas shows that 56% of adults found it difficult to get a card in 2021. By 2023, only 15% of adults had one, according to TransUnion.
Maya says the new feature is part of its effort to make premium perks more accessible. Instead of limiting lounge access to traditional cardholders, the company is putting the benefit directly in the app.
