Google adds Personal Intelligence to AI Mode in Search

Google is adding Personal Intelligence to AI Mode in Search. The feature makes results more personal by using information from Gmail and Google Photos. It combines global knowledge with your own context to give more useful answers.

Personal Intelligence is available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US, in English. It is part of an opt‑in Labs experiment and is not offered to Workspace business, enterprise, or education accounts.

With this update, Search can suggest products based on past purchases, create travel plans using hotel bookings from Gmail, and even include photo memories from Google Photos.

Google also points out fun uses, like asking, “If my life were a movie, what would the title be?” These answers mix personal data with Gemini 3’s AI capabilities.

Privacy is built in. Connections to Gmail and Photos are opt‑in and can be turned off anytime. Google says Gemini 3 does not train directly on Gmail or Photos content. Users can also give feedback or correct results if they feel inaccurate.

Invitations to try Personal Intelligence will appear in Search settings under Search personalization > Connected Content Apps. Stay tuned for updates.
