Ayaneo has officially launched the Pocket S Mini, its latest compact Android gaming handheld. However, the device is shipping with a smaller battery than advertised. Instead of the promised 6000mAh capacity, units will come with a 4700mAh battery due to a manufacturing and quality-control mix-up.
The Pocket S Mini features a 4.2-inch LCD display with a 1280×960 resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 Gaming Platform and offers multiple configurations, ranging from 8GB RAM with 128GB storage to 16GB RAM with 512GB storage. Storage is expandable via a microSD card slot.
Controls include a D-pad, ABXY buttons, Hall Effect joysticks, and linear triggers. The handheld also comes with dual vibration motors, a six-axis gyroscope, and a fingerprint sensor on the power button. It runs Android 14 with Ayaneo’s custom launcher and supports fast charging through USB Type-C.
To address the battery issue, Ayaneo is offering early buyers a free Pocket Air Mini (2GB+32GB), valued at USD 90. Customers also have the option to cancel their order for a full refund, along with a USD 20 store credit.
The Pocket S Mini is priced at USD 319 for the base model, with higher configurations available at USD 399.

It will be offered in three colors: Obsidian Black, Ice Soul White, and Retro Power. Availability in the Philippines has not yet been announced.
