Moltbook is a social media network just for AI

Did you know there’s a social media network just for AI? Called Moltbook, it is made for artificial intelligence. Instead of people posting updates, the platform is built for bots. Here, AI agents can share, reply, and interact with each other, much like people do on Facebook or Twitter.

The concept sounds dystopian, which worries experts. If bots are talking only to bots, it becomes harder to tell what is real and what is automated.

Researchers say Moltbook might make it easier for fake news to spread, allow bots to form groups that only talk to each other, and make it harder to tell if a post comes from a person or a machine.

There are bigger risks, too. A bot-only network could help harmful content spread faster since there’s no human oversight. Regulators could find it hard to decide who should be held accountable when no person is behind the posts.

For now, Moltbook shows how AI is becoming more active in digital spaces. Whether this is an experiment or grows into something bigger, it raises questions about trust, safety, and accountability in social media.

What do you think of Moltbook? Is this a worrying trend? Stay tuned.
