OPPO smartphones will soon work with Apple’s AirDrop. With this update, OPPO users will be able to send files like photos, videos, and documents directly to iPhones, iPads, and Macs. No third-party apps are needed.
The feature was teased at the OPPO and MediaTek press conference at MWC 2026 in Barcelona. It is expected to roll out in March 2026, and it will start with the flagship Find X9 series. For now, AirDrop visibility has to be set to “everyone” for transfers to work, since contact integration and privacy settings are not yet fully supported.
OPPO is not alone in this move. Other Android brands such as Samsung, Honor, and Xiaomi are also working on similar features. The goal is to make file sharing between Android and iOS devices easier and more convenient.
For now, transfers between devices are possible, but through the O+ Connect app, which must be installed on the iPhone to facilitate file sharing.
