Apple launched the Apple Watch Series 12 with an upgraded Health Sensing System to give you better daily tracking. The updated wearable brings higher-frequency health monitoring and faster processing to Apple’s lineup.
The new Health Sensing System works alongside the fast S11 chip. The watch measures your heart rate every five seconds throughout the day. It also checks heart rate variability up to 24 times more often. This continuous tracking makes your daily Activity ring metrics more precise.
You get a new readiness feature that gives you a daily recovery score from 0 to 10. The score looks at your activity, training load, vitals, and sleep. It gives you clear advice on whether to rest, pace yourself, or push harder in your workouts.
The S11 chip allows for faster step tracking on your wrist. It powers Sound Recognition to alert you about sirens, doorbells, or crying babies. The chip also supports instant Shazam song detection without needing your phone nearby.
Battery life lasts up to 24 hours during normal use. Outdoor workout battery life increases to 10 hours. A quick 15-minute charge gives you up to 12 additional hours of battery.
