OpenAI is working on a new desktop app that brings ChatGPT, Codex, and a web browser together in one place. The company wants to make its tools easier to use without switching between different apps.

Aside from the superapp, OpenAI also plans to show ads to free and “Go” tier ChatGPT users in the US. This marks the first time the company will introduce advertising into its consumer products.
