Globe is gearing up to launch Starlink-powered data promos in the Philippines after finishing its tests. The offers are already on the GCash and GlobeOne apps (under the Starlink tab), showing two promo tiers for Globe and TM subscribers.
- Starlink 99: ₱99, comes with 100 texts and 2GB satellite data for essential apps, valid for 30 days.
- Starlink 299: ₱299, comes with 500 texts and 10GB satellite data for essential apps, valid for 90 days.
To use these promos, subscribers need to enable data roaming. You can track the usage on the GlobeOne app.
This rollout makes the Philippines the first in Southeast Asia to offer Direct-to-Cell satellite services. The tech lets regular LTE smartphones connect directly to satellites for calls, data, video, and messaging.
The service will benefit those in remote islands, mountain areas, and disaster zones without building new towers or infrastructure.
