Top selling phones with 6000mAh or more battery capacity

Smartphone batteries are getting bigger. According to Counterpoint Research, in January 2026, the average capacity reached 5291mAh, up 400mAh from last year.

Almost three out of ten phones sold worldwide now carry 6000mAh or more, showing how endurance is becoming a key selling point.

Chinese brands lead this space. Xiaomi, vivo, OPPO, HONOR, and Huawei filled all top 10 spots, with six models using silicon‑carbon batteries that boost capacity without making devices thicker.

The Redmi 15C 4G topped sales with a 3.6% share, thanks to its affordable price and wide reach. HONOR’s X70 5G stood out with the largest battery at 8300mAh, paired with 80W fast charging and Qinghai Lake battery tech.

Here are the top 10 big battery phones:

  1. Redmi 15C 4G
  2. HONOR X70 5G
  3. OPPO A5x 5G
  4. Redmi 15 4G
  5. vivo Y50 China 5G
  6. vivo S50 5G
  7. vivo Y500 China 5G
  8. OPPO Reno 15 China 5G
  9. Redmi 15 5G
  10. Huawei Nova 15 5G

Six of these are China‑exclusive, which means China now leads the world by more than 1,000mAh in average capacity.

Analysts expect global smartphone shipments to fall about 12% in 2026 due to memory shortages and rising costs. Battery growth will continue but at a slower pace, with mass adoption of silicon‑carbon tech expected by 2028.
