OpenAI has added Health in ChatGPT. For now, it is available to users in the U.S. as a way to connect Apple Health and medical records. The feature organizes lab results, medications, and wearable data into simple summaries, making health information easier to follow.
The company says privacy is a priority. Data is encrypted, not used for ads, and not fed into model training. Users can disconnect anytime.
OpenAI also said that doctors helped test the system, but makes it clear that ChatGPT is not a doctor and should not replace medical care.

Health in ChatGPT is available to logged-in users 18 and older across Free, Go, Plus, and Pro plans. With millions already asking health questions weekly, the rollout will give people a clearer way to manage their information.
Of course, the tool will come with risks. AI can give wrong or unsafe advice, and privacy concerns will persist. Some cases show harmful results when users relied too much on AI for medical guidance. The burden will fall on the users to know when to seek real help.

OpenAI says the tool is meant for support, like planning meals with allergies or tracking recovery progress. It also works with wellness apps to give a wider view of health.
