BYD Cars Philippines has rolled out the BYD Seal 5 DM‑i, a plug‑in hybrid sedan built for everyday use. It comes in Essential and Dynamic variants, powered by BYD’s 5th‑generation Super DM‑i hybrid system that mixes electric efficiency with fuel power.
The new Seal 5 DM‑i is made for families, professionals, and fleet users who want a reliable car that’s easy to maintain and affordable to run. It’s built around BYD’s Blade Battery and comes with safety features like Cruise Control, TPMS, Hill Hold Control, and multiple airbags.
Both variants are offered at introductory prices from July 28 to August 31, 2026. Starting September 1, the official SRPs are ₱948,000 for the Essential and ₱1,048,000 for the Dynamic.
Each unit includes an 8‑year Drive Unit warranty, a 6‑year or 160,000 km bumper‑to‑bumper warranty, and an 8‑year or 160,000 km battery warranty. Buyers can choose from Deep Sea Blue, Cosmos Black, Atlantis Grey, and Harbour Grey.

Financing options are available through BPI, making it easier for individuals and businesses to switch to electrified mobility.
