ACMobility, Ayala Group’s mobility arm, launched the Drive Electric: EV Safety Program in Manila. The program is built to answer common concerns about electric vehicles, like range anxiety, battery safety, charging access, and cost of ownership.
The program was developed with professional instructors and follows standards set by the Department of Energy (DOE), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP), and the Philippine Electric Vehicle Consortium (PEVC). It is open to EV advocates, prospective buyers, fleet operators, and anyone interested in learning more about EVs.
The curriculum has five modules covering EV safety and ownership. Topics include cost savings, safe charging, emergency protocols, and EV technology basics. Each session is designed to give drivers practical knowledge and confidence when shifting to electric mobility.
Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility, said the program gives Filipino drivers the tools and information they need to make smarter transport choices.
ACMobility will expand the program with nationwide seminars, corporate sessions, community workshops, and interactive showcases. These will include test drive opportunities so more Filipinos can experience EVs firsthand.
