Apple will launch the Apple Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4 on September 9, 2026, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Both models keep last year’s design but bring faster performance and new health features.
The Series 12 and Ultra 4 will run on the new S11 chip, giving the first speed boost in years. Apple also tested white and dark gray ceramic cases, signaling a possible return of ceramic editions last seen in 2017. Touch ID is not part of the update.
Health tracking is a bigger focus this time. Gurman reports Apple is testing continuous heart-rate monitoring and updating its Health and Fitness apps to show more wellness data, similar to Whoop and Oura. These changes aim to give users a clearer view of their daily health.
Apple is not expected to release an Apple Watch SE 4 this year. They will instead prepare for a major redesign in the next one to two years. Work continues on blood sugar detection, a feature targeted for release by 2030.

The Series 12 and Ultra 4 will come with improved speed and health features while keeping the design familiar. Bigger changes are coming, but for now, users can expect faster watches with smarter health tracking.
