iOS 27 will feature iPhone Handoff, letting you use one phone number on two iPhones. The update is expected to roll out soon after Apple’s iPhone event next week.
With iPhone Handoff, one iPhone acts as the main device with the primary eSIM. A companion eSIM is then created on the second iPhone. The number switches automatically depending on which phone is unlocked and in use. A notification shows up in the Dynamic Island whenever the number moves between devices.
Cellular settings stay on the main iPhone. Carrier support is required for the feature to work. T-Mobile in the US and Deutsche Telekom in Germany are expected to support it first. Other carriers are likely to follow once Apple makes the feature official.

This update makes it easier to manage two iPhones without juggling multiple SIMs. Apple is expected to share more details once iOS 27 is released to the public.
