DICT confirmed it is investigating alleged unauthorized access involving the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Company Registration System. The report came on September 27, 2026.
The Company Registration System (CRS) stores official business records like ownership, registration status, and corporate details. The alleged breach has raised concerns about possible exposure of personal and corporate data. If verified, it could affect privacy, information security, and the agency’s credibility.
DICT said the incident is not yet confirmed. The authenticity, scope, source, and method of access are still under review. The CRS has been placed under maintenance while incident responders check the system.
The National Computer Emergency Response Team is working with EMB to investigate and fix the issue. DICT added that it will release updates once it validates its findings.
