Cherry Mobile Superion TV 2 Now Official, Priced at P4,999

After teasing the product, Cherry Mobile just made the Superion TV 2 official.  This is an update of the previous Superion TV model which was launched just a few months ago together with the Fusion Ice tablet.

The Cherry Mobile Superion TV 2 is an improvement over the earlier model in just a few areas, the most notable of which are the processor, the camera and the price.   The former Superion TV had a single-core processor whereas the new model now has a dual-core processor.  The older tablet only had VGA camera while the new model has two cameras – a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera.  The pricing is surprisingly lower as the Superion TV 2 only retails for P4,999, cheaper than the P5,999 price tag on the previous model.   The other hardware specs are similar, and there is one notable downgrade, that is, the battery.  The older model had 3200mAH battery and the new model only sports a 3000mAh battery.

The Cherry Mobile Superion TV 2 has Mobile TV and FM Radio so this could entertain you when you’re mobile in case you’re fond of watching TV.   Connectivity options include Wi-Fi b/g/n, 3G and GPS, with dual -SIM capability added to its list of features.

When everything’s taken into account, the Cherry Mobile Superion TV 2 is still a budget Android Jelly Bean tablet.  The specs, although not that bad, are not that good either.  If your budget is limited, this could be a nice tablet to consider but be prepared to encounter headaches along the way.   Here are the main specs of the Cherry Mobile Superion TV 2.
