Cherry Mobile Rave 2.0 Features NFC, Priced at P8,999

OPPO Reno12 F 5G Coming Soon

You have to hand it to Cherry Mobile for trying to bring the most current technology to the Filipino masses.  There is no other local brand to my knowledge that is as hard-working as Cherry Mobile when it comes to releasing products that feature current technology.  It already has an LTE phone in the market and now, Cherry Mobile will be releasing an NFC-capable Android phone.

The Cherry Mobile Rave 2.0 will be the first phone from the company to have NFC.  In case you don’t know, NFC or Near Field Communications is a technology that is akin to Bluetooth, only better.  Devices with NFC can be easily connected by simply tapping them together.   No need for PINs or what have you.

Here are the main specs of the Cherry Mobile Rave 2.0.

The Cherry Mobile Rave 2.0 features a 5.3-inch display so this is a technically a phablet.  If you are interested in getting this, you should be aware that the display should be mediocre considering that it only has a 960×548 resolution.  With a 5.3-inch size, expect to see the pixels up close.

Cherry Mobile is apparently bundling an NFC speaker with the Rave 2.0 and that’s great.  Users can immediately take advantage of the NFC feature of the phone.

I’ll try to get a review unit of the Cherry Mobile Rave 2.0.  The operative word here is “try”.
