Google officially announces two new Nexus devices, the LG Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6P. One of the worst kept secrets in tech (because of all the leaks), the new devices feature a better 12.3 MP camera, a fingerprint sensor, a USB Type-C port, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
LG Nexus 5X
The LG Nexus 5X comes with a 5.2 inch full HD LCD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has an oleophobic coating to make it slightly resistant to fingerprints and smudges. Inside the new 5X is a 64bit 1.8 GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor with 2 GB of RAM and an Adreno 418 GPU. As is the older Nexus phones, there is a 16 GB and a 32 GB version, and still no slot for a micro SD card. The new Nexus runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Nexus 5X has two new interesting hardware: a better camera and a new fingerprint sensor. The camera uses a 12.3 MP sensor with a pixel size of 1.55 μm, allowing it to capture more light. Surprisingly, there is no Optical Image Stabilization but it does have an IR laser autofocus.
The new fingerprint sensor, called Nexus Imprint, is placed on the back. It allows for one touch unlocking for quick access to the phone.

It has three storage variants, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB, and like the other Nexus phones, no micro SD card slot. This, too, runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The 6P also has a 12.3 MP camera with a pixel size of 1.55 μm and a large f/2.0 aperture. The front camera uses an 8 MP sensor with a 1.4 μm pixel size and a f/2.4 aperture. Again, it also does not have OIS.
Like the 5X, the 6P also has the Nexus Imprint at the back of the phone. It allows for quick unlock and access to the phone.

The LG Nexus 5X is price at USD 379 (roughly PHP 18,000) for the 16 GB version, and USD 429 (roughly PHP 20,100) for the 32 GB version. The Huawei Nexus is priced at USD 499 (PHP 24,000) for the 32GB, USD 549 (PHP 26,000) for the 64 GB, and USD 649 (PHP 30,400) for the 128 GB. Like the other Nexus devices, I have a feeling we can only get our hands on one of these through our trusty online resellers.

TechnoBaboy But with the V10 and its 4GB of RAM announced… ;)
Maybe, but I think it’s good enough for stock Android :-)
TechnoBaboy Honestly, the 2GB of RAM is a slight dealbreaker…
same as what you chose. U0001f60aU0001f60a
Hmm. If I had to choose, I’d probably go for the Huawei Nexus 6P. I like the bigger screen and the all metal body :-) which one do you prefer?
which of the two is better?
