OPPO is set to announce the OPPO Reno on April 10 in China. The new smartphone will feature the 10x zoom camera showcased by the company at the MWC 2019 in Barcelona, Spain.
Recently, OPPO Vice President Brian Shen posted a teaser on Chinese social media site Weibo announcing the new product line called Reno. A five second teaser of the OPPO Reno was then leaked on Twitter. The teaser shows the phone’s vertical rear camera design, which curiously looked like the 10x zoom prototype OPPO unveiled at the MWC 2019 in Barcelona, Spain.

OPPO’s 10x zoom technology uses a periscope design with three cameras consisting of a 48MP main camera, an ultra wide-angle lens, and a telephoto lens.
As for its specs, previous reports say the phone will have full HD+ AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 4,065mAh battery. The phone even allegedly appeared on AnTuTu Benchmark with an average score of 365,246.
However, a listing on one of the certification websites the OPPO Reno appeared on suggests it will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor with a 6.4-inch display instead.
At this point, nothing is confirmed. We’ll find out in the coming days as more information comes.
