After Kimi no Na wa, another hit anime from Makoto Shinkai is coming to Netflix Philippines. “Weathering with You” will start streaming on July 31.
The announcement was posted on Netflix’s official Facebook page.
“Weathering with You” or Tenki no Ko was a follow up to Kimi no Na wa (Your Name). And while its not a direct sequel, the two are connected in one way or the other.
The movie was well received, reportedly earning over USD 193.1 million worldwide. It even did well on Rotten Tomatoes, scoring 91% on the Tomatometer.

Shinkai’s previous hit, Your Name, is the highest grossing anime movie of all time with a reported worldwide haul of over USD 361 million.
Tenki no Ko follows a boy named Hodoka who meets Hina, who has the ability to control the weather.
