The iPhone SE is Apple’s most affordable iPhone. But ever since the iPhone 14 series has been announced, it may not be as affordable anymore.
Apple has retooled its roster of devices with the addition of the new iPhones. At the the time of this article, there are now a total of 26 iPhone models. You can check out the list of devices and updated prices here. Apple no longer offers the iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The iPhone SE 3 was announced March of this year, with a starting price of Php 28,990 at launch. After the iPhone 14 series was unveiled, the price of SE saw a big increase, now at Php 30,990 for the 64GB model. The price for the 128GB and 256GB has increased as well to Php 33,990 and Php 40,990, respectively.
iPhone SE 3 2022 | Price Q2 2022 | Price Q3 2022 |
64GB | Php 28,990 | Php 30,990 |
128GB | Php 31,990 | Php 33,990 |
256GB | Php 37,990 | Php 40,990 |
To be fair, the iPhone SE 3 is still one of the most powerful devices in its price range with an A15 Bionic chip, the same ones inside the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, and (most likely) iOS 16. But for almost 30K, it hurts that you’re just getting 64GB storage and a smallish 4.7-inch Retina HD IPS display.
