Instagram will soon test a ‘repost’ feature that will allow users to reshare other people’s posts publicly on their feeds.
The idea isn’t new as the feature is available in most social media apps. Previously, you can share other people’s Instagram posts via Instagram Stories or Direct Message. But this time, the ‘repost’ feature will let users share posts publicly on feeds with no need for screenshot to do it.
The feature was confirmed by Instagram to TechCrunch. It was first spotted by social media consultant Matt Navarra who posted on Twitter a screenshot that showed the repost icon.

The repost feature is probably not coming to users anytime soon, seeing as Instagram is still in the testing phase. But its great that they have finally considered a long awaited feature that should have been there for everyone in the first place.
