The Nintendo Switch, the popular hybrid gaming console that can be played at home or on the go, is now officially distributed by VSTECS Phils. in the country.
VSTECS Phils., the country’s leading ICT distributor, announced on Tuesday, November 28, its appointment by Nintendo as the official distributor of the Nintendo Switch in the Philippines. This means that Filipino gamers can now purchase the handheld console from authorized retailers, both online and offline, with the assurance of quality and warranty.
The company is also the designated service center for the Nintendo Switch in the Philippines, offering customer support and maintenance services to Filipino consumers through its nationwide network of affiliate service centers.
According to Jimmy Go, president and CEO of VSTECS Phils., the distributor appointment from Nintendo is a major milestone for the company and the Philippine gaming industry.

The Nintendo Switch launched globally in 2017, offering versatility as a gaming device that can be used as a home console, a handheld device, or a tabletop device. It features a large touchscreen, detachable Joy-Con controllers, and a dock that connects to a TV.
There are currently three variants available: the Nintendo Switch V2 (2019), the Nintendo Switch Lite (2019), and the Nintendo Switch OLED (2021).
Some of the best-selling games for the Nintendo Switch include Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Pokemon Sword and Shield.
